A car slows down and an Arab guy says something to me but we keep walking. I ask my Arab friend what he was saying. Apparently he asked me for my number. That made me laugh.

In a more recent incident, I was taking pictures when caught a glimpse of a guy blowing kisses at me. =/ That was seriously creepy. Especially since there was no one else around. I decided to get away from there.single4nowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07129183381655781569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6150686658810344054.post-6806585200795812292011-04-07T03:56:27.327+01:002011-04-07T03:56:27.327+01:00This comment has been removed by the author.Yours Trulyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11462006924690368093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6150686658810344054.post-26669439056974764042011-04-06T13:32:16.998+01:002011-04-06T13:32:16.998+01:00You never deny that when ever Women walk down the ...You never deny that when ever Women walk down the street and been harassed and such things are happening all the time. Whenever these happens to any female, she feel really angry, intimidated & embarrassed, and afraid. Sometimes it's one man, but other times it's many as in plural, in a group they do disrespectful attempts.Asma Khanhttp://stay-blessed.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6150686658810344054.post-88548347230926702532011-04-05T21:08:29.751+01:002011-04-05T21:08:29.751+01:00Splendid - Haha I like that! In Medinah, just 5 mins away from the Roza of RasulAllah (of all places!) some adolescent jackasses young enough to be my baby brothers cruise around in their open jeeps. See us walking towards our hotel and point at us and sing something in Arabic. Thank god i didn't know what they were saying. Then one guy just desperately starts kissing his window!! I mean, ewwww!!

God, i just got that visual in my head.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6150686658810344054.post-28538148403811294152011-04-03T18:56:54.320+01:002011-04-03T18:56:54.320+01:00Hijabi women suffer at the hands of cheap Muslim m...Hijabi women suffer at the hands of cheap Muslim men! A middle aged man is rolling down his van window, makes a disgustingly inappropriate remark, smirks and drives off. Meanwhile it takes me time to register what he's just said. Disgust sends shivers down my spine. Then anger kicks in. 'Hey, how come i'm the one left standing here feeling like an idiot and you get to drive off with a smirk on your face! Ughh I feel sick now...ahhh man and i was looking forward to eating my food.' Not happy.
At least this harassment did not happen on a regular basis but for some women it does. Now some may say that if a woman is going to dress/act in an overly provocative way then it is inevitable that she receives such attention. However in my opinion the majority of women out there do not dress/act inappropriately, we are not secretly yearning for some creep to yell out 'oi oi sexy' as we walk past, we just want to get on with out daily lives - uni, work, grocery shopping, dropping the kids off to school. There are many stories that us women could tell you, i'm sure that some may sound so ridiculous that you can't help but laugh, but the underlying problem is not funny at all. What happened to common decency, forget about being religious or not, what happened to basic manners?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
